Herman Cain...Wow

I know the title is a little bit weird but I had no other words to describe what Herman Cain said in an interview with Wolf Blizter Here is the link:
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/28/cain-black-community-brainwashed-into-voting-for-dems/?hpt=po_bn1

So Cain is saying that his fellow Black Americans are "brainwashed" into voting democrat...oh yeah, on national television. Is this ok for him to say because he is black? If someone like Perry or Romney said the same thing would there be back lash form the NAACP?

It seems like he makes a good reason though, He speculated that all Black Americans voted for Obama for one reason really, because he was the first Black candidate running for president. It may be true, it may not. However, Cain pretty much says that he doesnt fit into the mold of a democrat because he is conservative and is expecting to recieve 1/3 of the Black American vote. Not because he is a black man, but because of his 9/9/9 plan.

This makes me think.... Is he saying these outlandish things on CNN to get more attention to himself because he feels himself slipping? Or is it because it is truly how he feels and thinks the Mass Media should air his opinion in order to get the Americans to vote for what could be a good policy instead of strictly voting for race?

  1. I think Cain is saying these things to get some respect from the black voters. His polling numbers are up especially after the debate in Florida. Cain gained some ground on Romney and Perry. As the election gets closer and Cain becomes more predominate as front runner he will gather more black votes. Yes he can say those things on CNN, whether they are correct or not, and it is best if the other candidates don't.
